ComGuard and Computer Associates Middle East (CA-ME) have joined forced to strengthen their security channel operations in the region. Under the terms of the agreement, ComGuard will act as the authorised channel and value-added reseller of CA's products and services for both large and medium-sized enterprises across the region. Through ComGuard, CA also hopes to promote its eTrust suite of security solutions.

"By ComGuard joining forces with CA-ME, Middle East customers will benefit from an integrated suite of security solutions, complemented with superior consulting services, rather than relying on disparate, multiple products and dealing with the costly and time consuming issue of integration," commented Abdul Karim Riyaz, CA-ME's director of eTrust Security Solutions Unit. “CA's eTrust family of security solutions distinguishes itself from the many single point solutions in the market by providing security to all enterprise resources and providing organizations with a holistic view of the IT and physical infrastructure,” he added.

ComGuard will service clients through its regional offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Saudi Arabia. They will work towards preventing internal and external security threats such as financial fraud, data corruption, internet abuse, and unauthorised use of corporate assets. The company will also work with clients to counter hacking attacks and support them with forensic research.

Commenting on the partnership, Hayssam Al Masri, CA-ME's channel director, said: "The CA Middle East channel partner team has grown at a very healthy pace, in terms of the number of partners focused on specific technology areas. By collaborating with ComGuard, we strengthen our security channel operation and ensure that ComGaurd's high quality IT security services will enhance the adoption of eTrust technology in the Middle East market.”
