GFI is facilitating network security with the introduction of its WebMonitor solution for Microsoft ISA Server. The tool offers administrators information about who and what is entering and exiting the network.

The solution is capable of monitoring HTTP and FTP connections – both current and recent – that are active on the ISA server, which is Microsoft’s enterprises firewall and web server. The information is relayed to administrators in real time enabling them to check what files are being downloaded and which sites users are accessing.

According to GFI, the technology offers greater bandwidth and security processes by providing administrators with a clearer picture of the network they can allocate bandwidth more effectively and monitor users’ activities to make sure they are not violating companies’ practises or abusing internet facilities.

WebMonitor is also easy to install, natively integrating with the ISA Server and connecting to it as a web filter, with no additional configuration required. Additionally the WebMonitor software is freeware and can be downloaded at: http://www.gfi.com/webmon/.
