Microsoft has introduced the Multi-Year Open (MYO) License, a software purchasing option that offers its customers in the SMB community an easy payment plan for software needs. The programme allows businesses to pay in three equal annual instalments, at the end of which they own the licenses indefinitely.

Mohamad Jarrar, SMB group manager, Microsoft Middle East South Gulf, said: “This is a great addition to Microsoft’s licensing options and really helps SMBs to manage their cash flow by equally dividing the cost over a three-year period. With the added advantage of a 15% discount on the platform price, and an entry level of only 5 PCs, this offers real benefits to small and medium businesses.”

MYO will also provide customers with the flexibility to add more users and products as required, and includes the Software Assurance (SA) programme, which means that they will always have access to the most up-to-date versions of Microsoft software.

Products covered by MYO include all Windows and Office products in addition to access to all server products through the Core Client Access License. MYO complements Microsoft’s existing license options, all of which continue to be available in the region.
