The world's leading authority on constructive thinking, Dr Edward de Bono and Liz Mohn of the German media giant, Bertelsmann AG were the other major speakers announced as the UAE Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) launched an appeal for sponsorship support for the prestigious e-ducation Without Borders Conference to be held in Abu Dhabi in February 2003.

Launching the appeal HCT Vice Chancellor Dr Tayeb Kamali emphasised that it provided UAE companies with an opportunity to support a unique event that is attracting the young leaders of tomorrow from all over the world to the UAE.

Dr Kamali said: “The future of the world depends on our global relationships and the education of today’s young people, both of which are the themes of our conference. “This conference is all about how the students of today can harness the power of information technology and develop the necessary skills for lifelong learning.”

Under the patronage of the UAE President, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the three-day conference will be held in the Federal National Council building in Abu Dhabi and will include a spectacular opening ceremony and gala dinner for participants on 22 February.
