In an effort to provide better service to its photovideo customers, Canon Middle East has been conducting training and skills-transfer workshops for its regional distributors’s technical staff. Recently, a six-day training session was held at its regional headquarters in Dubai and two high-level trainers from the Canon Europa technical support team conducted the workshop.

“By ensuring that local repair centers across the whole region have the technical skills to provide comprehensive and on-the-spot after-sales service and repairs to devices needing fine tuning or adjustment, we are ensuring that our customers continue to be delighted by our expertise and our products,” said Gordon Jones, president, Canon Middle East.

Apart from lectures and presentations, the technicians took part in workshops to provide them with additional practical training and experience. Products such as the XL1S, MVX2 and XM2 video cameras, and the EOS 1D and PowerShot G2 digital still cameras were covered at the workshop.
