Eqarat.com has signed up to use Comtrust’s e-hosting services. The online real estate management company has outsourced the management of its web presence to the Etisalat subsidiary.

“The real estate market in the Middle East is one of extreme fluidity, where the real time information can be crucial,” says Ali Rahma founder of Eqarat.com.

“Without the necessary resource in-house to provide the IT infrastructure and support with which to publish this information, Eqarat.com needed external assistance. Comtrust [has] provided that assistance through [its] team of IT professionals and infrastructure. We have now entrust our IT infrastructure to Comtrust, but have added peace of mind for our staff which will focus their energies on making our core business a success,” he adds.

Eqarat.com offers investors and property owners the opportunity to buy and sell real estate online and offline, dealing with a wide range of commercial and residential projects including apartment blocks, villas, hotels and factories. The web site caters for both UAE nationals and international customers additionally providing other finance and property-related services.

The Eqarat.com agreement is the latest in a string of reference site announcements made by Comtrust. Historically, regional companies have show a reluctance to use local hosting partners, preferring to use organisations based in the US and Europe. However, this appears to be changing as mature hosting players emerge in the local market.

“The partnership with Eqarat.com is part of a growing trend within the Middle East as organisations become aware of the business benefits in outsourcing their IT requirements. Eqarat.com have realised they are better served by utilising the local knowledge and expertise of our workforce, [while] still maintaining complete control over their own IT strategy,” says Ahmad Abdul Karim Julfar, general manager, Comtrust.
