Khobar-based GulfNet Solutions has been appointed as a regional distributor for Autonomy Corporation. The e-business solution provider will provide Autonomy’s range of infrastructure solutions to companies in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait and Egypt.

Autonomy’s software solutions are used in the automation of operations for enterprise portals, CRM, knowledge management, business intelligence and e-business applications. Through use of the company’s Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL), Autonomy solutions are able to process and understand the content of text, voice and video files, and then sort the key concepts contained within that data so that it is available to the user. The solutions, which are in place in over 500 global companies, are able to handle a wide range of unstructured, semi-structured and structured data.

“Our customers are always looking for solutions to effectively and efficiently manage their data,” said Mudar Bseiso, general manager, GulfNet Solutions. “Managing data is not easy and most of the time it is a manual process which means there is a cost associated. After extensive research, we found that Autonomy software solutions addressed all obstacles involved in information management by automating data management and categorization, reducing costs and helping clients to focus on the business process rather than organizing data.”

“Autonomy is pleased to enter into this agreement with GulfNet,” said Vatche Kalaidjian, Autonomy’s director of business development. “Our partnership will enable Autonomy to deliver its unique, scalable and secure infrastructure to industry sectors such as oil & gas, government, financial, media and manufacturing across the Middle East. Because Autonomy’s technology is also language independent, it enables organizations to automate information operations on text, voice and video in the many different languages that global companies do business in today, not least Arabic.”
