Live-to-air solutions from Pinnacle Systems were at the heart of the TV coverage of the ninth Francophone Summit in Beirut, Lebanon from 18 - 20 October. The high-profile event featured representatives from all 51 member countries.

This is the first time the Summit has been held in the Middle East, and it was produced by some of the region's major broadcasters, Future TV, LBCI, NBN, NEW TV, Manar TV, and Tele Liban.

The Pinnacle kit used for the broadcasts included PDS 9000 and 6000 Vision Mixers, Thunder XL and LT Clip Servers, Lightning 1000 Still Stores, DVEXCEL, DVEXtreme and AlladinPro DVEs, and FXDeko ll and Deko 500 CGs.

“The Francophone Summit is a prestigious event and excellent show case for Pinnacle equipment,” says Richard Scott, VP EAME, Pinnacle Systems. “We are very proud that the Lebanese broadcasters trusted Pinnacle Systems' products for the live output of this event, and their trust was not misplaced as all the kit ran perfectly throughout the three days.

“Also, because our Middle East office is based in Beirut, we are able to offer full back-up and support so our customers have the assurance of knowing that should they need them, our engineers are right at hand.”
