SMC Networks is using Gitex to consolidate its brand name and offer visitors an insight into its vast array of networking solutions and vision of connectivity. The networking vendor previously marketed its solutions together with its parent company Accton Technology Group, however, it has decided to consolidate resources and focus solely on SMC at this year’s show.

The networking vendor is showcasing its expanded portfolio of networking solutions, including multilayer and unmanaged switches, wireless solutions and network interface cards (NICs) with demonstrations at its stand in Hall 7.

SMC is also offering visitors an insight into its local area network (LAN) technology, which targets a wide range of users from education and government departments to small-to-medium businesses and home users.

As a boost to SMC Networks more focused approach, the vendor has just secured a US$1 million deal with the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia to deliver an end-to-end network infrastructure to 1200 labs, which are part of the boys education department in the Kingdom.
