French video-editing giant Pinnacle is demonstrating its latest product range at the Prostar technology stand. Chief among the highlights is the consumer software package Pinnacle Studio Version 8, which costs $100.

This uses a drag and drop interface to piece together the scenes of a movie, whether it is a corporate presentation or a home-grown effort. It features SmartSound, which automatically generates background music and has a professional sound effects library and audio editing tools. Pinnacle also makes video-editing related hardware, such as PCTV PCI cards and plans to release an external USB ‘movie box’ next year.
