Patni Computer Systems (PCS) is using Gitex to show off three new PC ranges.

The Ergo Champion range are all-in-one models with LCD screens. PCS sees the machines are being ideal for space conscious users. The Ergo Compact are slim PCs which can be used either in tower or desktop mode. Again, space is a key selling point and Amit Patni said, director of PCS said, “The Ergo Compact can accommodate processors up to 2.2GHz and we see the PCs as ideal for use by hotels, office receptions, airlines and hospitals.”

The Ergo Colt is PCS’s high-end offering and will emphasisise upgrade options. The top of the range models will cost in the region of $1,900 and will use 3.0GHz Pentium 4 processors. General Atlantic Partners LLC has recently invested $100 million in PCS. This has been spent on strategic acquisitions and growth of subsidiaries in Western Europe and Australia.
