GLOBECOMM SYSTEMS, a New York-based firm that provides end-to-end satellite-based communications solutions, has opened a new office in Dubai Internet City (DIC).

Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman, Chief Executive Officer of DIC, says Globecomm has had an extremely productive association with the Middle East's communication industry.

"With the Middle East's information and communications technology (ICT) sector set for a period of increasingly fast growth, the launch of Globecomm's Middle East office in Dubai Internet City will help to strengthen this association", he explained.

"Dubai Internet City offers global companies like Globecomm a strategic platform to establish a powerful presence in the emerging ICT markets in the region."

Globecomm's recent activity in the Middle East also includes work for Aranet, involving relocating two downlinks for Middle East Broadcast Company (MBC) in Dubai Media City.

Gitex visitors eager to explore satellite solutions accessible to businesses in the region should be sure to visit the GlobeComm at Hall 6 Stand B6-1.
