Open Text is looking to end the pain and frustration of document management. The ISV is aiming to cull the existing paper mountains in many local businesses and make the near-paperless office a reality with its LiveLink application.

Open Text claims LiveLink can deliver a fully integrated set of powerful enterprise services directly to the desktop, including document and records management, virtual team collaboration, information search and retrieval, enterprise group scheduling and business process automation. LiveLink’s functionality can be accessed using any standard web browser.

Open Text is able to provide local companies with a fully Arabised version of its document management solution. Local language support is going to be key in building Open Text’s market share.

“The availability of the fully Arabised version of LiveLink has enhanced its market reach and renders it a unique offering in the region. Many customers enjoy LiveLink’s ease of use, yet feature rich technology, irrespective of whether they put it to use at a department level or across the entire enterprise,” said Sriram Narayanan, regional sales manager for Open Text MEA and India.

Open Text, which has been operating in the region since 1998, provides sales and technical support from out of its Dubai office. “Our direct presence and closeness to the regional customers has helped in continuously delivering the distinct value advantage of a bi-lingual solution offering to our valued customer base,” explained Chris Alevritis, senior vice president for SE Europe, MEA and India.
