The nature of the Middle East means that it has long being predisposed to mobile rather than fixed communications. As a result, the demand for mobile and wireless solutions continues to grow. To feed this demand, Diwan Software, is delivering the next generation of its mobile solutions at Gitex.

The solution set features a number of key offerings, including Mobile Text and a series of mobile applications that are designed for WAP delivery. Mobile Text is a multilingual text service for mobile phones, and it is already used by several of the top mobile phone companies in the world.

“It is a compact and fast text engine for processing multilingual text in a mobile device in any of the world’s languages,” says Tawfeek Azzawi, marketing manager at Diwan Software.

The company’s Arabic WAP and Mobile Java applications include multilingual messaging services, a prayer time calculator and Quran browser.
