Schoolmaster is using Gitex to promote an Arabised version of its online education management package. The system, which is being piloted by the Jordanian Ministry of Education, allows schools, regional education authorities and Ministries of Education complete control of students and teachers' online environment.

“Our aim [at Gitex] is to demonstrate our Arabic version to schools, regional educational authorities and Ministries of Education and to find additional partners to work with,” explains Philip Waite, director, Schoolmaster.

The system works by delivering managed online content to students and teachers. It can also be used to establish secure chatrooms for use by either pupils working together or teachers and governors. These can be established from the school level upwards using a user-friendly management console.

“Schoolmaster has [also] integrated a number of other companies’ content and applications to provide a seamless experience for the user. These partners include Microsoft's Class Server and a number of premium content providers,” adds Waite.
