Geographic information system (GIS) company, Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), is introducing the latest release of its ArcGIS offering, version 8.3, at this year’s show. Also on display is ESRI’s Schematics tools.

With distributors throughout the Middle East and North Africa, the company’s regional manager for the Middle East, Myles Flynn, says Gitex provides not only a chance for ESRI to showcase its offerings, but also a great opportunity for its partners to demo some of their custom applications.

“Our products are used as core software solutions and custom applications throughout the Middle East... Our goal for Gitex is to raise public awareness of the applications of ESRI-based GIS solutions in the Middle East,” he adds.
