The latest version 6.5 of the highly successful Adobe Premiere picture editing software has now been released and includes the Inscriber advanced text and graphics engine.

According to Adobe, the new version contains features that will be welcomed by professional editors around the world, whether they are working on DVD, tape, CD-ROM or the web. "Adobe Premiere 6.5 allows editors to create and deliver professional, polished video productions, with new Real-time Preview capabilities that enable video editors to instantly view effects, titles and transitions as they are made," said Richard Townhill, group product manager for Premiere at Adobe. "Licensing Inscriber's advanced character generation engine has ensured that Premiere 6.5's new Adobe Title Designer will deliver the broadcast-quality title sequences now demanded by video editors."

Inscriber, which develops and builds open system-based creation and delivery tools for the television broadcast and video post-production industries, says it is committed to understanding each partner's unique application in order to offer a solution that supports it and maximizes the enhancement potential for end-users. Now integrated into Adobe Premiere 6.5 under the Title Designer name, Inscriber's character generator delivers stunning text and graphics quickly and easily.

The company claims that the new release will enable video professionals to gain greater creative expression in even the most demanding environments to produce broadcast-quality graphics and titles including lower-thirds, full screen graphics, rolls, crawls and more with Title Designer. Preserving Adobe's innovative interface, users will experience the same look and feel they would expect while working in an Adobe environment, and benefit from Inscriber's drive to optimise for speed and flexibility.

"Adobe provides a powerful editing environment and Inscriber is proud to have our graphics technology integrated into Adobe Premiere 6.5. The synergy of Inscriber and Adobe offers editors more creative choices then ever before," stated Dan Mance, President of Inscriber.
