Gitex 2002 is going to form the launch pad for Veritas’ channel and training initiatives in the region. Skilled channel partners are key to fulfilling the vendor’s enterprise storage services strategy within the local market.

Veritas’ channel initiatives will deliver sales and marketing tools, training, technical support and programs to regional channel partners.
“According to recent research by analysts such as Gartner Group, the average customer will buy 100% more storage this year than last… half of all IT budges are spent on storage,” says Mike Hynes, regional manager, Veritas Middle East.

“Businesses in the Middle East are carefully scrutinising their IT spending to ensure they maximise their existing storage resources. Increasingly, regional companies are relying on Veritas software to gain the greatest performance from their storage infrastructure,” comments Hynes.

Visitors to Veritas’ stand will be able to see one of the hourly presentations on the vendor’s software portfolio.

Attendees can learn the fundamentals of constructing a disaster recovery strategy, how to lower their total cost of storage technology ownership, and ways in which they can receive a faster return on their IT investment.
