3Com has forsaken its own stand at this year’s Gitex and is teaming up with its local distribution partners, Online Distribution in hall seven and Aptec Gulf in hall four.

Through its local partners, the vendor is touting its range of enterprise switching, wireless local area networking (WLAN) and converged voice solutions.

Over the course of the five day show, 3Com plans to host a special demonstration and briefing on its NBX network telephony product range and other key product lines at its Dubai local office.

“We believe our core strength is that we are the only true networking vendor that offers a unique blend of innovative technology and a way of working that provides our channel partners and end-customers with high value, ‘practical to use’ solutions designed for the realities of the customer’s world,” says Wael Fakharany, regional manager of 3Com Middle East.

“With leading-edge offerings, such as our XRN ‘pay-as-you-grow’ LAN core technology, we are setting a new direction for enterprise networking. Furthermore, our NBX networked telephony products have shown very positive market acceptance, which we expect to grow further as more and more customers see the benefits of a single converged voice and data network infrastructure,” he adds.

3Com is not having its own stand at this year’s show. Instead, the vendor is taking space with its partners Aptec and Online Distribution, says Falkharany.
