During the show’s five days, the Foundry team is aiming to attract high end users from the region’s vertical industries and services providers.

“Foundry’s prime objective for participating in this year’s Gitex exhibition is to show its continued commitment level in the market and display new products,” says a statement from the company.

The networking vendor is planning to use Gitex as a springboard for further regional growth. Foundry recently appointed staff in Saudi Arabia as it continues to expand its local operations.

Topping the billing on Foundry’s stand this year is its JetCore-based FastIron 400, 800 and 1500 modular switches, which provide user organisations with a complete enterprise level solution, including everything from the wiring closet to local area network backbone based on a single product family. The solutions simplify network operations and management “leading to dramatic cost savings in total cost of ownership,” adds the vendor’s press statement.

The JetCore-based systems include Layer 2/3 features with support for 10/100 Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet interface modules.
