Dubai Municipality has upgraded its messaging platform to Exchange 2000. The upgrade project increases the scalability, collaboration and integration in the municipality’s e-mail environment.

“We are confident about the scalability, innovation and new capabilities that the new version will add to our IT environment,” says Abdul Hakim Malik, IT director, Dubai Municipality.

“Additionally, we expect that Microsoft and HP’s proven, global experience in messaging, enterprise environments and solutions will enable us to achieve our objectives in real-time,” he adds.

The municipality opted for HP to help design, deliver and implement the Exchange 2000 environment. HP is the only worldwide prime integrator for development, enhancement and deployment of Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000.

“HP has a proven track record having implemented millions of messaging seats worldwide,” says Dr. Samer Chaar, general manager, HP, UAE.

“We have applied this expertise, a focused sales force and end-to-end service capabilities to offering competitive solutions for Exchange deployment at Dubai Municipality,” he adds.
