Benq, previously better known as Acer’s peripherals business, is making its Gitex debut this year.

The vendor is going to be showcasing its full range of display, imaging, wireless, storage and broadband solutions in both the main body of the exhibition and at Computer Shopper.

The year old company is determined to prove that IT products can be ‘fun’ lifestyle tools. “Benq products aim to bring quality and enjoyment to life through innovation and design, making technology more a function of lifestyle and less a tool for a specific task.

The result of this approach to regional sales has yielded 20% growth over last year’s figures,” comments Robert Dung, managing director, Benq Middle East.

“IT is all about having fun and at both the exhibition and shopper venues, Benq employees and reseller partners will be showcasing our latest products — from LCD TVs and digital cameras to plasma display screens — and offering new technology at significant discounts,” adds Dung.

At the heart of Benq’s display is going to be its 20-inch LCD TV, 3.3 mega-pixel digital camera and 46-inch plasma display. The vendor will be touting ‘unsurpassable’ price/ performance for its entire product range at shopper.
