Digital convergence is headlining on Samsung Electronics stand in hall two. The Korean vendor is showcasing a wide variety of products that promise to integrate into everyone’s daily routine.

According to D.K. Byeon, managing director, Samsung Gulf Electronics, the vendor’s participation reinforces its commitment to the region and reflects its plans to expand the consumer electronics market in the Middle East. “The concept of digital convergence is fast seeing acceptance from consumers in the region,” says Byeon.

“Our participation in [Gitex] will give visitors a preview of how digital convergence technology is set enter their lives and make digital entertainment much more interesting and enriching,” he adds. Monitors are going to make up a large part of Samsung’s display during the show. The display will include the vendor’s SyncMaster 171P monitor and 241MP HDTV monitor.

Other highlights on the company’s 323 sq. metre stand include the preview of its next generation mobile phones and DVD family of products.

Consumers will also get a chance to see Samsung’s plasma screens and LCD televisions, among other digital devices.
