Batelco is enabling its Internet customers to log on to its Internet site and view their status account status. Service subscribers can access their account information from either www.inet.com.bh or the PTT’s e-Shop site.

The page offers views of billed, and unbilled, amounts and includes details of previous periods for customer records.

“Clicking on the ‘view your inet bill’ link at the right side of the inet homepage takes customers to the inet billing homepage. A customer only has to enter [their] inet username and password to gain access to full billing details,” explains Mahmood Hashimi, manager internet & messaging services, Batelco.

With sensitive billing data going online, Batelco has taken steps to prevent data being viewed by unauthorised parties. The service is secured by using secure socket layer (SSL) technology, which encrypts all confidential information exchanged at the web site, such as CPR and credit card numbers.

“This service is designed to give our customers more control over their Internet usage and budget, and is part of our commitment to provide the best possible service,” adds Hashimi.
