Soficom wins Oracle e-marketing award

Egyptian ISP and e-business services company Soficom has been awarded for its efforts in e-marketing at Oracleworld Copenhagen.

Egyptian ISP and e-business enabler Soficom has been recognised for its e-marketing efforts by Oracle. Soficom was awarded first prize for partner e-marketing initiatives at Oracleworld Copenhagen, at the end of June.

The company beat sixty other partner campaigns to win the award for an online questionnaire that was intended to provide Soficom Web/Intranet Solutions (SWIS) Department with a better understanding of the needs of the Egyptian IT market and how best to advertise to it. The questionnaire was created using tools available on the Oracle Partner Network (OPN) portal.

“Soficom was able to hit the target by getting the feedback of decision-makers and IT managers in Egypt. Soficom was able to send more than 2500 e-mails through e-mail blasts and the feedback was unexpected from the number of respondent,” explained Fatma Ahmed Abdel Mohsen, web marketing specialist at Soficom.

Alfonso Di Ianni, senior vice president for Global Partnering, Oracle Worldwide said: “The campaigns evaluated for these awards demonstrate that many partners are getting real, tangible benefits from conducting e-marketing campaigns using the Oracle online services. In particular, the winning entries stand as superlative examples of what can be achieved when a marketing campaign is conducted online.”
