The American test, measurement and monitoring company, Tektronix is working with the Chinese Academy of Broadcasting Science (ABS) to establish a national digital broadcasting research and development laboratory for China's broadcast industry. ABS is a part of the State Administration of Radio, Film & TV (SARFT).

"The acceleration of TV digitization, the maturation of video technology, and the demands for China's television system to be upgraded led the Chinese government to recognize the need to establish a digital TV testing lab that can accelerate the digitization of the country's television industry. We believe our partnership with Tektronix will help us to achieve this goal,” says Shang Zhijian, Vice Director, Science & Technology Commission, SARFT.

"As SARFT continues to research and develop the country's next-generation digital video technology, Tektronix will be there to meet their test and measurement needs," continues Vince Ganley, Vice President, Pacific region, Tektronix.
