Comtrust signs another VAR

Comtrust, the e-business arm of Etisalat, the UAE’s telecommunications provider, has announced that it has signed GTFS as a value added reseller (VAR).

Comtrust, the e-business arm of Etisalat, the UAE’s telecommunications provider, has announced that it has signed GTFS as value added reseller (VAR) to sell its e-business infrastructure solutions.

“We are delighted to announce the alliance with GTFS. With its strong leadership position and track record of performance and reliability, it will provide invaluable support to Comtrust in helping government and business embrace e-commerce,” said Saoud al Shamsi, sales manager of Comtrust.

He added that the role of GTFS would be to enhance Comtrust’s market presence and catalyse the growth of e-business in the region. Describing Comtrust’s channel as ‘extended’, he said that it would be able offer a complete e-commerce solution to customers with the attendant advantages of reliability and security.

Patrick McManaman, managing director of GTFS, said that the company’s strength was in its knowledge of and good working relationships with clients and analysing their needs. “Many companies are looking to open up new business channels through the Internet and take advantage of those new market and revenue opportunities. GTFS has a proven background and the skills to mold Internet based solutions that redefine supply chain management and support integrated, interconnected work for external audiences,” he explained.
