In a move that could see the sale of strawberries and cream rocket in the Middle East, this year’s Wimbledon tennis tournament is to be televised across the Gulf. Arab Digital Distribution (ADD) has signed a regional broadcast deal that will allow the platform management company to air the tennis championship live from London from 24th June to the 7th July 2002.

“The Wimbledon tennis championship is still revered as the number one tennis tournament in the world and we felt obliged to capture this event exclusively for our viewers across the Middle East,” explains Vinod D’Mello, Vice President, Network Development & Marketing, Arab Digital Distribution.

Middle East tennis fans will be able to view exclusive coverage of the 2002 Wimbledon tennis championships live throughout the Middle East with Arabic, English and Farsi commentary.
