Baan is reporting increased growth in the Middle East, with ‘solid performance’ throughout 2001 and the appointment of AlHoshan Consultants as reseller and support partner for the GCC. Through AlHoshan, an authorised reseller and First Line Support partner, for Baan’s ERP products, the company has been able to establish a customer base of 60 clients with over 1,000 users in the region.

Eric Smith, regional manager at Baan, said: “We are happy that our alliance with AlHoshan Consultants has proved to be a winning situation for us at Baan and for the Baan client base in the GCC. We have seen in AlHoshan a strong alliance organisation that shares our vision of customer sensitivity. When we appointed AlHoshan, it was vital to us that we select an organisation that understands the strategic aspects of our business, as well as the local market conditions. AlHoshan was able to demonstrate through experience their understanding of ERP solutions and its importance to leading GCC businesses. We believe that AlHoshan will be more than successful in delivering our new iBaan ERP solutions and to date, we are delighted to have such a capable organisation working with us in these countries.”

“Our approach is to help our clients position themselves to achieve a fast return on their investment, be it with the aid of solutions, support, or services, with optimal satisfaction across their enterprise,” explained Omar AlHoshan, director of AlHoshan. “We are very pleased to be a part of the Baan success in the region and look forward to keeping the excellent growth rate in the ERP market we saw this year.”
