Fujitsu Services appointed as 3Com Voice Solution Partner

Fujitsu Services (formerly ICL) has been appointed as a 3Com Voice Solution Partner and certified Networked Telephony Specialist

3Com has appointed Fujitsu Services (formerly ICL) as an authorised Voice Solution Partner (VSP), with certification as a Networked Telephony Specialist. The certification means that Fujitsu Services is the first UAE VSP to be specialist certified for deployment and support of network telephony solutions.

“With the addition of Fujitsu Services to our VSP network in the UAE, we can now reach more local companies and help them realise the benefits of a single network not only in terms of immediate cost savings, but also as a long term, scalable investment that delivers real return on investment,” explained Tony Nasr, country manager for 3Com Middle East, North Africa and Turkey (MENAT). “We will be strengthening our focus on the 3Com NBX solution in larger organisations, particularly in the banking, government and telecoms sectors.”

Fujitsu Services, along with other VSPs such as Jumbo Electronics, will be concentrating on promoting the 3Com NBX platform, the first network telephony solution authorised in the UAE by telco provider Etisalat.

Gerry Marr, services manager, Fujitsu Services said: “As one of 3Com’s Silver partners, we were coming into contact with enterprise decision makers who really were not satisfied with the drain on both their cost and human resources involved with building and managing separate voice and data networks. These companies needed a solution such as the 3Com NBX system, which delivers immediate cost savings in terms of equipment and maintenance, whilst also allowing greater flexibility for remote working habits and even wireless connectivity. In order to deliver this, we put our team through an intensive 3Com training course to gain VSP status. We are also the first VSP in the UAE to have gained the Networked Telephony Specialist certification. Now, we have a strong team in place with the capabilities to manage the complete sales cycle for the 3Com NBX system and the technical proficiency and resources to implement and support this solution among enterprise customers.”
