BenQ is reporting significant sales growth in the UAE, mostly thanks to the strength of its sales channels. The company predicts that revenues this year will exceed $25 million for the UAE, with the growth attributed the strength of the reseller channel.

“We are increasing our market share much faster than our competitors because our BenQ resellers fully understand our products’ features and benefits and are able best represent them to our valued customers across the region,” explained Robert Dung, managing director of BenQ Middle East. “BenQ expects to see sales of $25 million for 2002 in the UAE, and we believe that much of this growth can be attributed to the increasing product awareness of our knowledgeable UAE channel partners.”

Strong support for resellers has helped grow the level of awareness of the BenQ range of monitors, optical drives, imaging equipment and wireless products in the Middle East, according to Manish Bakshi, sales and marketing manager, BenQ Middle East. Channel programmes have focused on product awareness, logistics, service, marketing intelligence and promotion, and have pushed a dedicated sales team approach to partners including Aptec, Best Computers, Quality Computers and Trigon.

“BenQ Middle East has conducted a series of country-specific dealer seminars in the region over the last few weeks,” said Bakshi. “Our goal was to educate and motivate our channel partners about their ability to bring enjoyment and quality to life for all Middle East consumers, by freeing them to better see, hear, and touch the world in today’s digital age, and we are pleased with the enormously positive response that we received to these initiatives.”
