Batelco has updated its prepaid mobile phone vouchers to allow a 365 day period of use.

Customers will now be able to use one voucher for up to a year, instead of the previous 60 day time limit. In addition, smaller-denomination call-credit vouchers of BD3 and BD5 are now available with built-in 'time refills' of 10 and 20 days.

The one year vouchers are particularly aimed at people who only visit the country a few times a year, such as business travellers.

Explaining the benefits of the new service, a Batelco spokesman said: "This 'Time-Only' voucher means the SimSim account remains valid for 1 year and customers can now refill their accounts by purchasing any call-credit voucher in the normal way."

"Batelco's SimSim service is now more convenient than ever. The new voucher denominations offer our customers more choice, with options to extend time and credit on a SimSim account, according to individual preferences and requirements."
