In a move to strengthen its creative resources, the award-winning Rahbani Group has appointed a leading UK TV commercials producer, Clive Chapman. He has more than three decades in the industry and extensive experience in the Middle East, where he has made commercials for Toyota, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Kuwait Airways.

Chapman will join Rahbani’s 55-strong team based in Dubai and Beirut. The group’s founder, Marwan Rahbani, says, “His appointment will give the production process here a new spirit and creative power and enhance the innovative approach we have always taken to the production of television commercials.”

Clive Chapman says he already has a special relationship with the Middle East through both his work and family visits to Dubai. He says, “Having worked in the region before I have been tremendously impressed with the way the gap between European production and techniques in the Middle East has been completely closed over the past 20 years.”

One of Chapman’s most successful personal achievements was receiving an award for a television commercial he made, free of charge, for the Make a Wish charity. He hopes to be able to persuade production and advertising houses in the region to undertake similar ‘pro bono’ work to support worthy causes.
