Novell ties up with Red Hat

As part of its oneNet vision, Novell has joined Red Hat's Premier Alliance Partner scheme. The partnership will see Novell offer Linux versions of NDS eDirectory and NDS Corporate Edition.

As part of its oneNet vision, Novell has joined Red Hat’s Premier Alliance Partner scheme. The vendor’s vision is to offer users of heterogeneous networks simplified management and ensure that all networks work together as one across any operating system.

As part of the alliance, Novell will offer Linux versions of NDS eDirectory and NDS Corporate Edition.

“The Red Hat alliance programme is a milestone… uniting the top hardware, software and embedded technology providers in a partnership with Red Hat to deliver the best enterprise Linux solutions to their customers,” says Mark de Visser, vice president of marketing, Red Hat.

“We’re always looking forward to new products and developments we can feed through our channel partners to our valuable customers here in the region,” adds Rod Barclay, channel manager, Novell Middle East.

Other members of the Red Hat alliance programme include: IBM, Veritas and Computer Assocaites.
