In a bid to improve its position in the market as an enterprise infrastructure solutions provider, Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) has signed on Emircom as its corporate partner in Abu Dhabi. The alliance is expected to boost FSC’s position in the region as it expands its market by a wider client base to include high-end enterprise computing products and solutions.

“Taking into consideration emerging market trends, Fujitsu Siemens has always emphasised business critical computing and mobility as the two areas of its focus. The unprecedented growth in the IT industry in this region and its emergence as a vibrant business hub has only reinforced this view,” said Colin Britto, sales manager, Large Enterprise Business, FSC. “With leading technology for data centre infrastructure on SPARC Solaris UNIX, Intel and Storage solutions, we are now ready with the right technical resources and support infrastructure to provide the right integration skills and premium support services in the region. We have already won some strategic business critical computing accounts in the region and will expand on this to help customers run their IT infrastructure with all the key elements like reliability, availability, scalability and most important adaptability to new technology and business processes. Our strategy for expansion includes working with established businesses so that we can leverage their existing client base while offering their customers the best-of-breed solutions.”

Speaking on the occasion was also Michel Sawaya, managing director of Emirates Holdings Technology and Telecom Business Unit, which owns Emircom. “The mutually beneficial alliance with Fujitsu Siemens will facilitate us in providing our clients with the technologically superior infrastructural solutions that FSC develops to German quality standards,” stated Sawaya.
