The Middle Eastern digital satellite platform, Orbit Satellite Television & Radio Network has announced the launch of TVMAX, a new movie and sporting event pay-per-view service.

According to Orbit at least ten channels will be dedicated to its TVMAX service, which will be available to all Middle East and North African subscribers. Orbit claims it has concluded exclusive agreements with the biggest international studios in order to deliver a continuous flow of fifteen to twenty of the most recent blockbuster titles per month. Orbit subscribers will be able to order titles directly through their remote controls.

”This quantum leap comes to crown the modernization process of Orbit’s digital technology and its continued quest to enhance its programming bouquet by adding more quality content, new premium channels and attractive services,” commented Orbit.

“TVMAX is the movie viewers’ dream, offering not just the latest exclusive cinema titles and sporting events, but true digital home cinema at the flick of a switch,” says Ricky Ghai, Orbit’s Executive Vice President for Programming. “I am confident viewers across our region will delight in the experience of true digital home cinema for the first time. This, in addition to the already impressive film channel offering, makes Orbit truly distinctive.”
