Orbit has announced the launch of Cartoon Network on its digital satellite Pay TV platform.

Cartoon Network draws from its library of over 10,000 cartoons with 500 well-known characters from Hanna-Barbera, Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network Studios. It is home to legendary characters such as Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry and The Flintstones as well as a whole new generation of top toon stars including The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Cow & Chicken and Dexter’s Laboratory.

“The launch of Cartoon Network, the latest addition to our multi-channel bouquet, amply demonstrates our determination to keep on offering Orbit’s viewers the highest quality television content for children and young-at-heart cartoon fans,” says Johnny Malek, Orbit’s vice-president marketing.

“The capture of Cartoon Network for our viewers is certainly a significant and globally recognized entertainment trophy to add to the Orbit showcase,” added Ricky Ghai, Orbit’s Executive Vice President Programming.
