A new mid-range LP-XG2 LCD projector, targeting the small-office-home-office user, has been released by LG in the Middle East. While this projector can be used to make business presentations, it also enables the user to view large image projections of TV or video by connecting to a compatible video source.

"Weighing just 3.4 kgs, the LP-XG2 LCD projector is targeted at the
SOHO, (small-office-home-office), user and business-people needing a
portable, fully functioning projector," commented S S Lee, digital
display products manager, LG Electronics Gulf FZE. The LP-XG2 LCD projects images at a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels with a viewing screen size of up to 7.6 metres and a maximum projection distance of over 16 metres. It comes with a full-function remote control that mimics the movements of a standard PC mouse.

"Aside from resize, zoom, auto-tracking, mute and volume buttons, the
remote control can also mimic left and right mouse button commands and
the mouse drag feature," stated Lee. "In addition, the remcon also has a built-in laser pointer for when presenters need to indicate articular details on screen."

The projector, which supports both MAC and PC inputs, is
compatible with common video formats such as NTSC, SECAM, NTSC4.43, PAL-M and PAL-N.
