IBM Linux roadshow stops off in Bahrain

IBM has announced that it will be hosting a Linux roadshow in Manama, Bahrain on June 2nd. Part of a global program the “Ready for Real Business” event aims to spread information about Linux among Middle Eastern users.

IBM has announced that it will be hosting a Linux roadshow in Manama, Bahrain on June 2nd. Part of a global program the “Ready for Real Business” event aims to spread information about Linux among Middle Eastern users.

The event will feature live demonstrations of integrated Linux solutions with a special focus on the oil sector and Arabisation. There will also be presentations from global Linux software vendors, IBM’s regional business partners and speakers from local open source and computer societies.

Farid Metwaly, general manager, IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan says that “this roadshow is a great opportunity for the growing community of Linux developers and adopters in the region to get together and share knowledge: to strengthen the commitment of those who have already embraced open source software by bringing them together with their peers who share a common strategy.”
