LG Electronics has been expanding its reach in the Middle East market through the launch of a variety of products ranging from LCD monitors and home appliances to computers and mobile phones. The latest to join the list are MP3 players.

“LG MF-PD365N6 and MF-PE500N6 enter the market at a time when consumers are beginning to appreciate the advantages of MP3 playback,” commented B H Ahn, manager, Digital Products, LG Electronics Gulf FZE. “With no moving parts and no physical movement for playback, MP3 players are perfect for active people wishing to enjoy CD quality audio. Moreover, through the Internet, it is possible to buy and download music at a fraction of CD prices through MP3 Internet providers ‘Try-and-Buy’ initiatives. One huge advantage of MP3 is the ability to buy one song at a time. No more buying a whole CD for the one or two songs you want,” added Bahn.

Both portable, palm-sized devices from LG's Digital Soul range are loaded with an MP3 Explorer software, have an Internet connection to facilitate the download of files, and use flash memory cards to store sound. Each player comes with earphones, a carry case, USB cable, encoding cable, and batteries as well.
