BEA is looking to grow its local customer base and boost the number of independent software vendors (ISVs) it works with.

BEA is looking to grow its local customer base and boost the number of independent software vendors (ISVs) it works with. At the same time, the middleware vendor has tied up with Intel to promote its role in the region’s e-business ambitions.

Diyaa Zebian, business development manager for BEA in the Middle East, believes that Dubai holds the key to the company’s progress in the region due to its IT hub status.

"With Dubai's large assembly of independent software vendors and progressive business organisations, BEA believes that a focus on making e-business easy and accessible for everyone is of increasing importance to the country's economy," he explains.

“BEA intends to work with partners and customers to make this e-business vision a reality in the Emirates,” he adds.

The first of these initiatives is a series of seminars with Intel. During the seminars, BEA will attempt to convince customers and partners that its solutions, run from an Intel platform, are key to their e-business success.

“Thanks to our partnership with Intel, BEA can now provide customers with an application infrastructure platform that offers industry-leading performance and low cost of ownership on all major hardware platforms, including both the 32-bit and 64-bit Intel architecture," says Scott Dietzen, chief technology officer of BEA Systems.
