Computer Associates Middle East (CA-ME), Microsoft Gulf & Eastern Mediterranean, and SAP Arabia are teaming up together to host the Middle East Chief Information Officers’ Summit (MECIO’02) in Dubai on the 11th and 12th of May.

The summit, which will focus on the role of the chief information officer (CIO) in the current climate of change and development, will play host to a number of international speakers, including representatives from CA, Microsoft and SAP Arabia.

Issues that will be addressed at the summit include the challenges and opportunities of e-business, web services and business transformation, and strategies for improving business process with core business applications.

“The Middle East CIO summit encourages participants to exchange ideas candidly and constructively, as well as discuss strategies for success and leadership in the next generation of e-business. We will look at the tools today’s CIO’s require to facilitate all aspects of e-business management – including infrastructure, process and information,” said Abdulaziz Al-Salloum, managing director, CA-ME.

“Nowadays executives are reaching for business processes beyond their enterprise and they are asking for software that supports relationships with their suppliers, customers and partners. Through this targeted event we are looking to give the CIO’s in this region insights into the challenges they face daily,” added Essam Enany, president, SAP Arabia.
