Cisco Systems has announced a road show aimed at recruiting resellers. The road show will visit Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, North Africa and Pakistan during May and June, spreading the message that being a Cisco reseller offers “great opportunities to grow their business”. Products demonstrated will include wireless networking products and IP telephony.

The focus is on the SMB sector that makes the bulk of resellers customers and will comprise several training initiatives based around Cisco’s Partner E-learning Connection (PEC).

John Saunders, channel manager for Cisco said: “Resellers have a key role in our ongoing Middle East strategy and we are committed to help them develop their business and offer customers the highest levels of consultancy and service.”

The learning courses offered will concentrate on IP telephony, content networking, wireless and security and Cisco will give resellers the chance to earn funds to earn accreditations in specialised areas of the technology.

Saunders added: “Small and medium businesses have a great deal to gain from deploying e-business and Internet technologies. By working closely with a Cisco Authorised Reseller, these companies can ensure rapid return on investment and productivity gains across their operations.”
