Arabia.com has migrated its financial operation on to Microsoft Great Plains’ e-Enterprise package. The project, which was conducted by local Great Plains partner Mideast Data Systems, enables the portal to streamline its financial management across its multiple offices.

“In our industry, the ready availability of key, up-to-the-minute financial information is an absolute must,” says Michel Nassour, Dubai-based financial controller, Arabia.com.

“MDS has delivered a [flexible] tailor-made IT solution that provides the quality of business information Arabia.com requires to make accurate decisions and continue building its position in the portal arena. [Also] its training and support for our centralised implementation has been of a world-class standard,” added Nassour.

The Great Plains package also includes customisation tool that enables Arabia.com to adapt to the unique needs and nature of the web-based business environment.

“Arabia.com is a fluid and expanding business that requires constant flexibility in its systems management, and it is these dynamics that have driven the portal’s management team to work closely with our team to build the perfect solution to the company’s current and future business needs,” comments Hazem Ahmed, division manager of MDS.
