Al Naboodah Group has reinforced its network security with the deployment of a firewall and virtual private network (VPN) from security vendor BorderWare.

The solution, which was deployed by Dubai Technology Partners (DTP), connects the group’s 15 offices via an IPSec VPN, improving both security and connectivity.

“We chose the BorderWare solution as it stood above the others in terms of international certifications, reliability and cost efficiency,” says Rida Farhat, Al Naboodah’s IT manager.

“We looked at a number of other possible solutions, but DTP Solutions seems to offer excellent support and maintenance here on the ground… by choosing BorderWare we have complete peace of mind,” he adds.

The project to secure the 200 user network was conducted over a three month period at the request of Al Naboodah. The project also included IT consultancy from DTP.

“We believe in understanding customers needs, and then providing a proposal that satisfies their requirements by recommending best of the breed products from our own portfolio or, where necessary, sourcing from other professional vendors,” comments Dean Bell, managing director, DTP.
