New sound at NAB

UK audio specialist Soundtracs has announced a new product to be shown at NAB 2002, the television technology show to be held in Las Vegas in April. In addition to the more familiar D4 audio console will be the new DS-3B digital broadcast console.

As most companies plan a raft of product announcements, Soundtracs come to the show with a strong offering. The DS-3B is a 32-Bit floating point console, with each of the 64 or 96 channels having four-band equalisation and dynamics sections.

“With two DSP racking options depending on installation requirements,” says Soundtracs, “the solution has added the benefit of Digital TFT touch screens and redundant PSU on the console surface.”

Other functions will include 96 Khz or 48 Khz with 24-bit conversion, and the DS-3B is equipped with 40 output busses each with limiters or stereo.

NAB will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Centre [LVCC] between April 6th and 11th.
