Benq experiences sales boom on the back of DSF participation

The vendor has been catering to the ‘digital’ needs of Middle East families throughout March by selling its range of DVDs, printers, CD-RWs, digital cameras.

Benq Middle East has been racking up the sales as part of its participation in Dubai Shopping Festival (DFS). The vendor has been catering to the ‘digital’ needs of Middle East families throughout March by selling its range of DVDs, printers, CD-RWs, digital cameras.

“Family activities, like shopping, are best enjoyed when there is something fun for everyone — particularly the young generation who want to have fun with technology. The Dubai Shopping Festival provides Benq with the opportunity to bring this kind of digital entertainment product offering to families in the region,” said Robert Dung, regional managing director, Benq Middle East.

The Taiwanese-based vendor has sold mini-DVDs, multifunctional printers that allow digital images to be photocopied, faxed, scanned, and printed, CD-RW drives that enable digital images of all kinds to be recorded and stored, and, finally, digital cameras.

The Benq products are divided into six primary business units: display (CRT and LCD monitors), digital display (projectors and plasma display), optical storage (CD- and DVD-ROM drives, as well as CD-RW), imaging (scanners, multifunctional peripherals, and digital cameras), wireless (mobile phones, wireless module, Bluetooth PCMCIA card), and broadband (wireless LAN, Ethernet switch, XDSL, broadband router).
