Foundry Networks is teaming up with Mitel Networks, an IP communications solutions provider to educate its Middle East customers about voice-over-IP (VoIP) solutions.

The five seminars will include demonstrations of the combined offering, which uses Foundry’s BRAVVO architecture in conjunction with Mitel’s IP communications solutions.

“The combination of Foundry’s BRAVVO architecture and Mitel’s IP communications solutions create a superior VoIP solution and accelerates the convergence of applications, voice, and video on a single IP network,” said Farook Majeed, regional director, Foundry Networks, Middle East & North Africa.

“The reduced operation overhead and increased return-on-investment (ROI) that results from a converged network architecture offers enterprise customers a new form of competitive advantage for their businesses,” Majeed added.

“The combined Foundry-Mitel solution presents a compelling value proposition to customers by giving them the ability to protect their existing investments in both voice and data, while enjoying the benefits of a converged infrastructure,” said Ian Bevington, channel marketing manager, Mitel Networks. “By leveraging this solution customers can take advantage of a full suite of VoIP solutions, productivity-based IP applications, devices and peripherals.”

The seminars kick off in Al Khobar on April 7th, before moving to Riyadh, April 8th; Cairo, April 9th; Kuwait, April 10th, and finishing in Dubai on April 13th.
