Regional e-banking solutions provider Aspidex Technologies has chosen Microsoft’s .NET strategy for its entire Corillian-based Internet banking solutions.

“Microsoft’s advanced .NET platform enables Aspidex to provide the region's financial institutions with the chance to enhance their customers' banking experience by providing users with an easy and seamless means of communicating with their banks anytime, anywhere, using multiple channels” said Izzat Dajani, CEO of Aspidex Technologies. He added that the increased use of the Internet and hand-held digital devices in the region made banks aware of the need to communicate with their clients via these tools. “And the .NET strategy provides banks in the Middle East with the right communication means to do that,” stated Dajani.

Microsoft’s .NET technology enables applications to communicate and share data over the Internet, independent of operating system, device, or programming language. Based on XML (Extensible Mark-up Language), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI), .Net enables any system that implements these standards to interchange data, regardless of whether they are running Microsoft software.
Through .NET, Aspidex aims to enable financial organisations in the Middle East to connect their business applications, systems and processes internally as well as externally. This, they claim, will improve operational efficiency and enable their customers to perform all banking and bill payment functions in one place.
