Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has selected Compaq to provide it with an integrated network and services management solution. The TeMIP solution will be used to manage the telecoms giant’s data network and was chosen for its adaptability, according to Compaq.

TeMIP can offer a number of features that make it suitable for a company like STC, says Comapq, priniciply its flexibility at running different applications, which is required because STC has a variety of vendors, technologies and domains in its environment. TeMIP also has a scalable event-handling capacity and a complete set of integration and customisation tools.

“Saudi Telecom is a leader in the Middle East and serves as a model for delivering high levels of customer service. Compaq’s TeMIP solution has proven itself with many operators around the world who are contiually seeking to improve network and service quality. We are sure that TeMIP will help STC continue to provide exemplary service,” said Ali Dmairi, general manager, Compaq Saudi Arabia.

Hisham Samarkandi, general manager, Engineering & Support Systems at Saudi Telecom, said, "With TeMIP, we have a single, integrated solution, rather than separate, isolated management applications. This single, end-to-end approach provides simplicity that reduces our internal operational costs. More important, it allows us to link network management directly to service quality, and ultimately, to enhance customer satisfaction."
